Meet the Founding Members of Contemplative Light

Contemplative Light is a community of spiritual teachers developing Contemplative Learning Courses, articles, podcasts, and lessons on silent prayer and meditation. Meet the Founding Members below and be sure to say hello to Our Partners as well.

Clint Sabom

Clint is an award-winning writer and former aspirant monk.  His poetry has been published in The Tulane Review, The Eclectic Muse, and his articles have appeared most recently in Paste Magazine.  He is the author of Preparation For Great Light: Recollections Of A Christian Mystic. This is the kind of book that you don't usually get from spiritual writers early in their career - where they candidly reveal the significant religious experiences that have shaped them - available now on Amazon. Clint works as Special Projects Coordinator at Dabel Brothers Publishing. Learn more at The Graveyard Cowboy.

Marc Thomas Shaw

Marc has been a student of the mystics for over twenty years.  He is an author and teacher focusing on the contemplative path as a means to help people engage in Deep Awareness to recognize and transcend the False Self. He has been a Centering Prayer practitioner for over a decade. He is also the author of the forthcoming book The Wanderer’s Way: A Guidebook for Spiritual Formation, based loosely on Dante’s Divine Comedy, drawing on poetry and music for transformative exercises. He is a graduate of Fuller Seminary’s Theology and the Arts program, a trainee of Contemplative Outreach, a member of Spiritual Directors International, a part of The Ignatian Spirituality Project.
